My name is Sam, and I am a Visual and Sound Media Major, with a minor in Public Relations. In the future I’d like to work in film production, or work with a film festival. This blog for my Social Media in Journalism and Public Relations class will discuss the different ways that social media can be used by someone in these profession. Another goal of this blog is to gain experience using social media in these ways, in order to prepare myself for the future. Since I am relatively new to blogging, I hope to gain a better understanding of how to do so throughout this class. I also hope to learn how to use social media in a more professional way, since my only use of social media currently is personal.
